Hey there. You found me. I go by a few names: Doc (or Doq), Ameowli, stupid tech guy. This here is one of a few of my windows to the internet. Specifically, ame.lmao.rip is a version of ameowli.dev, but time machined back to 1999, when HTML 4.01 was the hot new standard and every web page had at least five GIFs. Don't worry, there aren't any GIFs here. I say, with version 2.0 having at least 20.
Since this is meant to be a time machined ameowli.dev, all of the content that is on ameowli.dev is also here on ame.lmao.rip, except without the fancy schmooving graphics of modern web standards. And the archive page-- which was replaced by a links page; it has a curated list of other websites in the spirit of this one.
ame.lmao.rip targets browsers circa 1999-2005, squarely at a time when Mac OS X was a fresh new operating environment and Internet Explorer was still relevant. Despite this, the entire website is internally built on modern PHP, which procedurally generates each page in our beloved HTML 4.01 format-- something I used very liberally in the development of this website.
This is what happens when someone who is not a web developer builds a website for web browsers older than they are.
